Phenolic Resin Injection Parts

The most important feature of phenolic resins is their high temperature resistance, which maintains their structural integrity and dimensional stability even at very high temperatures. It is for this reason that Phenolic resin injection parts are used in some high temperature fields, such as refractory materials, friction materials, adhesives and foundry industries.

Production Process

1 Process method

(1) Add the melted phenol into the reaction kettle and start stirring to open the cooling water so that the internal temperature is reduced to below 500°C.

(2) Add formaldehyde solution to keep the internal temperature at 40~500C, stir for 10~15min, and add ammonium hydroxide.

(3) Heat up to 650C in 20min, keep 20min and slowly heat up to 950C in 60min.

(4) keep the reflux reaction at 92~960C. The cloudy point is when milky turbidity occurs

(5) Sampling after 10min, cool to 25~300C to separate the upper layer of water, if the resin does not stick to the glass and the wire drawing is the end point of the reaction, immediately cool down.

(6) When the internal temperature drops below 750C, the vacuum degree of vacuum dehydration reaches more than 80kpa, and the internal temperature is controlled at 55~750C

(7) When the dehydration amount reaches the requirement and the resin in the kettle is transparent, start sampling to measure the degree of polymerization, and immediately add ethanol (vacuum feeding method) and other resins after the resin is completely dissolved when the index is reached. Cool to 400C.

2. Process performance

FB resin is block or powder at room temperature. Its dynamic melting endothermic peak is "0 ~ 165C, and the solidification exothermic peak is around 210 °C. It has been completely cured after repeated testing at 180'C for 1.5h ~ 3h.

Since FB resin is supplied to users in groups, transportation costs can be reduced. Increased safety during transportation and storage, and longer storage time. In the process of processing and molding, there is no toxic solvent, no ammonia escape, and no formaldehyde escape, which is beneficial to the health of workers and conforms to contemporary environmental protection requirements. The processing and molding process is similar to ordinary phenolic. Just raise the temperature appropriately. This Phenolic resin injection parts have excellent process performance.

3. Electrical properties of FB resin and its application

Sodium ions in phenolic resins affect electrical properties and increase hygroscopicity. The ammonia in the phenolic resin will corrode the metal inserts, especially under high temperature and high humidity conditions. in aerospace products. Due to its low ionization potential, alkali metal impurities can cause communication interruption and wake flow, which are easy to be found by the other party, and reduce the oxidation resistance. The FB resin has neither fluorine nor alkali metal impurities, which is very beneficial to electronic products and aerospace products.

Post Injection Molding Process

1. Processing equipment: CNC, WEDM, lathe, milling machine, drilling machine, grinder, etc.;

2. Surface treatment: For some products that require subsequent processing, we can provide surface treatment services to achieve the special purpose of customers. At present, we can provide degreasing, polishing, electroplating (gold, silver, nickel, tin, galvanized, etc.), anodizing, electrophoresis and other surface treatment services for precision parts.
