What is the hardness of powder metallurgy?
What is the hardness of powder metallurgy? What is the hardness of powder metallurgy? This mainly depends on the customer's requirements. Generally, the customer requires the hardness of HRC, HRB, HB, HV, etc., but it is generally unified in their own processes. The commonly used hardness is HRB, HRC; The specific situation depends on the actual situation of the company.
powder metallurgy
Powder metallurgy has a variety of material specifications, but also can be quenched, its hardness is mainly based on material selection and use. Here is a brief introduction to the hardness of iron-based powder metallurgy in the Zhongwei precision knitting:
The hardness of iron base powder metallurgy is generally HB90. Iron based powder is made by adjusting the Ni and Cr content of 18-8 or Cr13 stainless steel and adding B and Si elements. The hardness, density and bonding strength of the sprayed layer of iron base alloy powder are roughly equal to that of the nickel base alloy powder coating, so it can replace the nickel base alloy powder in many cases, but the toughness of the coating is lower than that of the nickel base alloy powder coating. Iron base alloy powder coating has good wear resistance.
1. Carbon steel and low alloy powder
This kind of material is widely used in mechanical engineering. It has good strength, wear resistance, extensive sources and low price. It is generally used as the hard surface coating of sliding surfaces and the dimensional repair of worn parts for mechanical parts working at room temperature. However, this kind of material has a high melting point, which is easy to cause oxidation and porous coating during spraying.
2. Fe Cr Si alloy powder
This kind of alloy spraying can obtain a bright and dense coating and a good processing finish. The hardness of the coating can reach 90HRB. It can be used to repair worn bronze and stainless steel parts, repair cavitation in stainless steel containers, and serve as a coating on the gasket surface, mechanical seal surface, or motor shaft surface.
3. Fe Cr B Si alloy powder
This series of alloy has good wear resistance, pressure resistance and toughness, and is easy to process. It is used for wearing parts, shaft pump surface, steam turbine box sealing surface and other parts. Because it contains elements such as boron and silicon, it is self fusible and can be sprayed directly or remelted, which can be used for laser cladding.
