For automotive interior materials, on the premise of meeting the basic mechanical properties and thermal properties of the components, it is generally required to have a matte function to help drivers reduce visual fatigue and improve drivability. However, ordinary materials need to be matte treated by spraying matte paint or adding matte agents to modify the materials before they can meet the requirements of interiors. to this end. According to the application characteristics of automotive interior parts, matte interior materials are developed. This PA/ABS alloy can bring a special soft and matte finish without adding a matt agent.

PA/ABS materials are used in the dashboard decorative covers of Audi models. PA/ABS alloys also have the excellent chemical corrosion resistance, thermal stability of PA and the good dimensional stability and low temperature impact resistance of ABS. The combination of shaping materials also enables the PA/ABS alloy to obtain good shock absorption and sound absorption properties, so it is very suitable for the application of automotive interiors to make PA injection molding auto parts. At present, PA injection molding auto parts automotive interior materials, especially automotive IP (instrument panel) peripheral products are usually selected

PC/ABS material. However, when PC/ABS is compared to PA/ABS, PA/ABS alloys bring unparalleled performance advantages to automotive interior parts:

1. PA/ABS material can bring a soft matte effect on the surface, which is not available in other materials. Although PC/ABS can reduce gloss by adding a matte agent, there is still the defect of uneven light distribution. The unique matteness of PA/ABS provides the necessary conditions for spray-free, and the glossiness tested at 85 reflects this. The tested samples are smooth flat plates, and the test results fully illustrate the matteness of PA/ABS: the gloss of PC/ABS is 83%, the gloss of ABS is 78%, and the gloss of PA/ABS is only 47%, only Half of the gloss of PC/ABS; the actual measured data of skin texture products made of PA/ABS is only 3%~4%, while the actual measured data of skin texture products made of PC/ABS is more than 10%. At the same time, PA/ABS can also effectively reduce the gloss rate of the product and bring a uniform matte effect.

PA/ABS materials are used in the air outlet panels of Triumph models, instrument cluster placement, instrument trim panels, etc. 2. The density of PA/ABS can also be reduced by up to 6%, thus effectively reducing costs. The density of PC/ABS is relatively high, generally in the range of 1.13~1.15, while the density of PA/ABS is only between 1.07~1.08, which is comparable to heat-resistant ABS materials.

3. The fluidity of PA/ABS is very good, it has better processability than other materials, and the processing window is wider. The flow length ratio of PA/ABS and ABS is about 2 times that of PC/ABS under the respective suitable injection temperature and the same pressure and speed.

4. The chemical resistance of PA/ABS is better, which can endow most chemicals, such as gasoline, coolant, vegetable oil, esters and alcohols and other daily necessities with good stress crack resistance.

5. The heat resistance of PA/ABS is no less than that of PC/ABS, especially in the case of low load (1kg), its heat resistance is better than that of PC/ABS. The Vicat softening temperature of PA/ABS can reach 180C (A/50), which is unmatched by PC/ABS.

PA/ABS materials are used in the air outlet panels of 206 models, instrument settings, etc. Of course, there are many performance advantages of PA/ABS, such as wear resistance and shock absorption and noise reduction. Because of its combination of various properties, PA/ABS can be used in applications that other materials cannot reach. Its application range can be from the automotive industry to household products, from daily glasses, stationery to power tools, etc.

At present, the largest application market of PA/ABS is still automotive interior parts. Due to its natural matte finish, it can be applied directly to interior parts without spraying. In addition, spray-free can not only save the cost of paint, but also save the tedious processes such as pre-treatment, pre-coating and painting, thereby eliminating the waste and transportation costs caused by these links.

As early as 2004, Zhongwei Precision Machinery Co., Ltd. began to develop PA/ABS alloys in accordance with the needs of Shenlong Automobile Company. At present, there are mainly HNBO225 and HNB0270 products and mineral-filled series products. PA/ABS is mainly used in the peripheral parts of automobile instrument panel, such as control panel, instrument panel, and interior parts such as air conditioner outlet. Application

PA is an engineering plastic with excellent performance, with excellent mechanical properties, outstanding corrosion resistance, oil resistance, heat resistance, high modulus and other advantages. It can be widely used in automobile, electronic and electrical, power tools and other industries by strengthening and flame retardant modification.

In the automotive industry, after PA is reinforced by glass fiber, the strength, dimensional stability and other properties have been improved, and the price is relatively cheap, so it has become an ideal material for engine peripheral parts.

Intake manifold is the most typical application of modified PA injection molding auto parts in automobiles.

In addition, components such as engine covers, engine decorative covers, and cylinder head covers generally use modified PA as the preferred material. Compared with metal materials, taking the cylinder head cover as an example, the quality of modified PA is reduced by 50% and the cost is reduced by 30%.

Other stressed parts of the car, such as oil filters, wipers, radiator grilles, etc., can also use modified PA.
