Before the 1980s, we widely used brazing and projection welding, but the bonding degree was not high enough to adapt to high temperature and high strength occasions. Therefore, powder metallurgy parts are rejected by many industries due to welding problems.


With the development of powder metallurgy sintering furnace technology, new laser welding has been added in the field of welding and cutting of powder metallurgy parts since the late 1980s. Many advantages suddenly offset our advantages in powder metallurgy.


Compared with traditional welding methods, laser welding in powder metallurgy sintering furnace has the advantages of large depth width ratio, narrow weld, high weld bonding strength, small heat affected zone, small welding deformation, etc., which effectively improves productivity and realizes automation of welding process.


At present, science and technology are so developed that every industry has made breakthroughs. Laser welding and cutting can effectively solve the connection problem between powder metallurgy parts and other parts in China. I believe that in the near future, the welding discipline of powder metallurgy parts in China will enter a new breakthrough field.
