EN 1.4306 stainless steel is an austenitic stainless steel intended for primary forming into wrought products. 1.4306 is the EN numerical designation for the material. X2CrNi19-11 is the EN chemical name.
Grade: X2CrNi19-11
Number: 1.4306
Category: Austenitic stainless steel
Density: 7.9 g/cm³
1.4306:
1.4306 is an ultra-low carbon austenitic stainless steel developed to solve the serious intergranular corrosion tendency of the material caused by the precipitation of Cr23 and C6 under some conditions. Its resistance to intergranular corrosion in the sensitized state is significantly better than that of 304, and its performance is the same as that of 304 except that its strength is slightly lower. It can be welded by various common stainless steel welding processes, and heat treatment is not required after welding.
