Investment Castings For Train Inner Yoke
Investment castings for train inner yoke refer to cast components used in the construction of train carriages. These castings are designed specifically for the inner yoke, a critical component of the train's suspension system. Yokes connect train wheels to axles and help ensure a smooth, stable ride for passengers. The investment casting of the inner yoke of the train is an important part of the overall structure of the carriage, ensuring safe and reliable operation of the train.

Product Feature
One of the main advantages of investment castings for train inner yoke is their exceptional strength and durability. Investment casting is a process in which molten metal is poured into a specially designed mold. This process creates a material that is strong, uniform, and resistant to wear and tear. This strength is critical in railway applications where components are subjected to heavy loads and high stresses.
Another advantage of investment castings for train inner yoke is dimensional accuracy. These castings can be formed into complex shapes, ensuring a precise fit that contributes to the overall safety and reliability of the cabin. This precision manufacturing ensures each component fits together seamlessly, reducing the risk of failure and eliminating the need for additional machining or finishing.
Mold Casting Material
1. Material type
TB/T2942-1999, AARM-201-2005 and UIC840-2-1981 respectively specify their respective grades and grades of cast steel.
2. Chemical composition
TB/T2942-1999 and AARM-201-2005 have strict requirements on the hardenability of cast steel. AARM-201-2005 also stipulates the carbon equivalent limit of cast steel, while UIC840-2-1981 does not specify the carbon equivalent limit of cast steel. Hardenability and carbon equivalent limits, but strict upper limits are imposed on the chemical composition of castings to be welded.
3. Mechanical properties
As an alternative for manufacturers to measure impact properties, TB/T2942-1999 and AARM-201-2005 also specify the dynamic tear test (DTT) and non-plastic transition temperature test (NDTT) of cast steel, while UIC840-2-1981 does not specify DTT and NDTT for cast steel. The difference from TB/T2942-1999 and AARM-201-2005 is that UIC840-2-1981 also stipulates that the hardness difference of castings in the same furnace should not be greater than 30HBW.
4. Magnetic induction intensity
and AARM-201-2005 have no requirements for magnetic induction intensity for any grade of cast steel.
Manufacture
1. Steelmaking process
TB/T2942-1999 and AARM--201-2005 stipulate that molten steel can be smelted with an open hearth furnace, an electric arc furnace, a crucible furnace, a converter or an oxygen top-blown converter. UIC840-2-1981 stipulates that molten steel should be manufactured using an electric furnace or an open-hearth furnace, using a furnace top oxygen blowing process or any other equivalent process approved by the railway.
2. Casting
UIC840-2-1981 has detailed regulations on the types of models and casting methods, chilled iron and core supports, attached cast test blocks and single cast test blocks in the casting process. TB/T2942-1999 and AARM-201-2005 have detailed regulations on attached casting. Test blocks and single-cast test blocks are specified, but other aspects are not specified.
3. Heat treatment
TB/T2942-1999 and AARM-201-2005 have detailed provisions on the heat treatment process of castings, including annealing, normalizing, tempering, normalizing plus tempering, quenching plus tempering, and heat treatment documents. Especially AARM-201-2005, the description of this part is very rigorous and specific, and the definition of loading capacity of intermittent heat treatment furnace and continuous heat treatment furnace is given. UIC840-2-1981 only provides rough regulations on the normalizing, surface hardening treatment and process flow of castings.
