Lost Wax Investment Castings For Shackles
The shackle is the most used connection tool in lifting operations. It is mainly used for connection parts that are often installed and disassembled in hoisting. When the rigging is used in conjunction with the beam, the shackle can be used on the top of the rigging to replace the ear plate under the lifting ring and the beam. connection for easy installation and removal. Shackles are widely used in electric power, petroleum, machinery, wind power, chemical industry, ports, construction, and other industries, and are very important connecting parts in hoisting.

Shackles, also known as clasps, are widely used connection tools in lifting operations. They are used in conjunction with wire ropes and other slings and are easy to install.
1. Shackle classification
According to its shape, the shackle is divided into two types: straight and oval.
Shackles are divided into pin type and bolt type according to the form of the movable pin shaft. Commonly used is the bolt type.
2. Safety requirements for the use of shackles
(1) Shackles must be forged, cast, and repair welded shackles cannot be used.
(2) When in use, the specified load shall not be exceeded, and the pin shaft and buckle top shall be stressed, and no lateral force shall be applied. Using it horizontally will cause the buckle body to deform.
(3) When hoisting, use shackles for binding. When lifting objects, the buckle should be on the top and the pin shaft should be down, so that the rope buckle is pressed against the pin shaft after being stressed, and the pin shaft will generate friction in the pinhole due to the force so that the pin shaft is not easy to come out.
(4) Do not throw the shackle down from a high place to prevent the shackle from colliding and deforming or internal damage and cracks.
3. Scrapping of shackles
The shackle shall be scrapped when one of the following situations occurs:
(1) Cracks occur in any part of the shackle.
(2) The wear amount of any section of the button body and the shaft pin reaches more than 10% of the original size.
(3) There is obvious permanent deformation or the shaft pin cannot rotate freely.
(4) Bolts are broken or slippery.
(5) The shackle cannot be locked.
Shackles are frequently used in various hoisting operations, and Lost Wax Investment Castings for Shackles are mainly used as connectors, an important connection tool between slings and objects to be hoisted. Chenghua shackles are forged with high-quality carbon structure or alloy structure and heat-treated, with large bearing capacity, flexibility, and reliability.
There are many types of shackles. According to the shape of the curved ring, there are two types: straight ring, D-shaped and horseshoe-shaped; according to the connection form of the pin and the curved ring, there are two types: spiral type and movable pin type. The pin and the bent ring of the screw-type shackle are threaded. There are two types of pins for the movable pin shackle, namely round and oval. It is in smooth contact with the bent ring hole and can be pulled out directly. D-type shackles are mainly used for single-leg rigging connections; B-type shackles are mainly used for multi-leg rigging. BW and DW type shackles are mainly used in occasions where the rigging will not drive the pin shaft to rotate; BX and DX type shackles are mainly used in occasions where the pin shaft may be rotated and long-term installation.
