XC18Cr and XC20Cr are two types of low-alloy high-speed tool steels, both containing higher carbon and chromium elements, and have higher hardness, wear resistance, and heat resistance.

XC18Cr is a high-speed tool steel with a carbon content of 0.15-0.20% and a chromium content of 0.80-1.20%. It is mainly used to manufacture high-hardness, wear-resistant cutting tools, drill bits, and processing metal materials.

XC20Cr is a high-speed tool steel with a carbon content of 0.18-0.23% and a chromium content of 1.30-1.60%. It has a slightly higher chromium content than XC18Cr and has higher hardness and heat resistance. XC18 lost wax investment casting is mainly used to manufacture tools with high strength, high hardness, and high heat resistance, such as cutting tools, molds, milling cutters, etc.

In the naming of these two steels, "XC" represents West German tool steel; the "Cr" after the number represents the chromium element; "18" and "20" represent the range of carbon content, namely 0.15-0.20% and 0.18 -0.23%.

German material number 1.1141 is the equivalent of XC18 steel, also known as C15E steel, which is a material in the German standard DIN EN 10083-2.

C15E steel has good forgeability and plasticity and can be used to manufacture some simple mechanical parts, such as bearings, bolts, screws, pins, etc. Its specific application scope includes:

1. Machinery manufacturing: XC18 steel can be used to manufacture some simple mechanical parts, such as bearings, bolts, screws, pins, etc.

2. Construction: XC18 steel can be used to manufacture bolts, nuts, and other parts in construction.

3. Agricultural machinery: XC18 steel can be used to manufacture some agricultural machinery parts, such as blades, hammers, etc.

In short, XC18 steel is a low-carbon steel with good forgeability and plasticity and is suitable for manufacturing some simple mechanical parts, such as bearings, bolts, screws, pins, etc.
