At present, Nanjing University of Science and Technology has done more research in this field earlier and has achieved certain research results, and its level in this field can reach the top three in the world. Because the friction coefficient of aluminum alloy powder is smaller than that of common metal powder and ceramic powder, the mixing equipment and injection equipment can be shared in principle.

With the improvement of production efficiency, equipment automation, processing continuity and equipment performance of AIM enterprises, the research of professional aluminum alloy injection molding mixer, granulator and injection molding machine has been put on the agenda of many mechanical equipment manufacturers.

At present, a few domestic mechanical equipment manufacturers have achieved preliminary results in the research, development and production of AIM special production equipment through cooperation with colleges and universities, and have begun to use it in some enterprises. Its functions and characteristics still need to be explored and improved in future production practice.
