Stainless steel grade
316 stainless steel is a grade of stainless steel produced according to the American ASTM standard. 316 is equivalent to my country's 0Cr17Ni12Mo2 stainless steel, and Japan also quoted the name of the United States, calling it: SUS316.
Characteristic
SUS316 powder metallurgy pressed parts have plasticity, toughness, cold denaturation, good welding performance, and strong corrosion resistance.
Product Category
Stainless steel: SUS316
Corresponding GB brand: 0Cr17Ni12Mo2
Product Features
SUS316 stainless steel has good plasticity, toughness, cold denaturation, and welding process performance. 316 has good high-temperature strength, and 316L has slightly poorer high-temperature performance, but its corrosion resistance is better than 316. Due to its low carbon content and 2%-3% molybdenum, it improves Corrosion resistance to reducing salts and various inorganic and organic acids, alkalis, salts, and high-temperature strength.
Basic Features
(1) The appearance gloss of cold-rolled products is good;
(2) Due to the addition of Mo (2~3%), the corrosion resistance, especially the pitting resistance is excellent
(3) Excellent high-temperature strength
(4) Excellent work hardening (weak magnetic properties after processing)
(5) Non-magnetic in solid solution state
(6) Good welding performance. All standard welding methods can be used for welding. According to the application, 316Cb, 316L, or 309Cb stainless steel filler rods or welding rods can be used for welding. In order to obtain the best corrosion resistance, the welded section of 316 stainless steel needs to be annealed after welding. If 316L stainless steel is used, post-weld annealing is not required.
Heat Treatment
Melting point: 1375~1450℃
Solution treatment: 1010~1150℃
Metallographic structure: the structure is characterized by austenite
