2. Use appropriate additives:
(1) Some low melting point alloy elements are added to the powder to reduce the porosity through the liquid phase formed during the sintering process, so that the stainless steel can meet higher performance requirements. For example, 2%-8% copper-based alloy is added to the commonly used 304 stainless steel. Due to the low melting point of copper, the liquid phase can be formed at 960 °C, and the entire liquid phase can be formed at 1000 °C.
