T30403 Lost Wax Investment Castings
T30403 mold steel has the characteristics of high red hardness, good wear resistance, and high strength, so it is often used to make molds. This material can maintain good corrosion resistance and mechanical properties at high temperatures, so it is particularly suitable for manufacturing molds that require long-term use and withstand high-pressure and high-temperature environments, such as plastic molds, die-casting molds, etc.

American T30403 cold work die steel
T30403 standard: ASTM A681-08
T30403 stainless steel has excellent processing properties and can be formed by casting, forging, quenching, and other processing methods, and can meet the manufacturing needs of various complex molds.
T30403 Lost Wax Investment Castings are used to make tools whose cutting edges do not heat up during work, tools that do not bear impact loads but have sharp edges and a little toughness, such as tools for processing wood, hand cross saws, and hand fine wood. Tools, machine joinery tools, twist drills, wire drawing dies, stamping dies, cold heading dies, screw taps, reaming tools, thread rolling boards, turning tools, planers, milling cutters, currency stamping dies, cold cuts with uniform cross-sections of small sizes Edge and punching dies, low-precision and simple-shaped pallets, bench scrapers, hard rock drills, tools for making rivets and nails, screwdrivers, files, chisels for engraving, knives for cutting paper and tobacco leaves, etc. Hardenability indicates the hardness distribution of steel from the surface to the interior after quenching. The level of hardenability is related to the chemical composition, purity, and grain size of the steel. Depending on the tools used to make them, there are certain requirements for these two properties. The selection of tool steel for cold work molds. In practical applications, the tool steel is selected based on the main failure mechanism of the mold. When choosing tool steel, it is not enough to have knowledge of steel properties. Factors such as the number of parts produced, the type of material being processed, its thickness, and its hardness must also be considered. A basic method for selecting tool steel is to first eliminate all failure mechanisms except wear, and then select tool steel with suitable wear resistance to meet product production volume requirements.
T30403 is a Fe-Ni-Cr-based precipitation hardening deformed carbon tool steel with a service temperature below 700°C. Elements such as aluminum and titanium are added to the alloy to form a precipitation-strengthening phase, and boron is added to purify and strengthen the grain boundaries. The alloy has high thermal strength when used below 700℃, as well as good cutting performance and welding performance. The main products are hot-rolled bars, forged bars, cold-rolled plates, hot-rolled plates, and forgings.
The alloy is mainly used for hot-end components such as turbine disks, combustion chamber shell parts, turbine shells, supports, shafts, and blades used below 700°C.
The solid solution temperature of hot-rolled bars and forged bars is 1180℃, holding for 2 hours, water cooling + 760℃ holding for 16 hours, air cooling, HBS 302-240.
The solid solution temperature of the plate is 1020-1060℃, and it can be quickly kept at +720℃ for 8 hours and air cooled.
