4317 Lost Wax Investment Casting

18CrNiMo7-6 Chromium Nickel Molybdenum carburized steel is usually offered annealed to HB 229max. Carburizing and heat treating it develops a hard wear resistant outer shell, HRC 60-63, and a tough strong core with typical tensile strength ranging from 900-1300 MPa in small to quite large parts.

Application

Heavy-duty spindles, bushings, cam followers, wear pins, bearings, sprockets, gears and shafts, clutch claws, compressor bolts, extractors, fan shafts, heavy-duty gears, pump shafts, sprockets, lifters, wear Pins, wire guides, etc. 4317 lost wax investment casting may be used in high strength applications without carburizing but by hardening and tempering. It is widely used in all industrial sectors for components and shafts requiring high surface wear resistance, high core strength, and impact properties.
