Advantages of adopting breathable steel for MIM processing
Breathable steel is a kind of fine spherical powder stainless steel sintered at high temperature, and its interior is evenly covered with tiny exhaust holes in all directions, also known as porous materials or porous metals. It can be used in injection molding or injection molding to solve the problem of trapped air.

In MIM parts, molten materials will produce a certain amount of gas due to high temperature during mold filling. If these gases cannot be discharged during mold filling, they will cause trapped gas, which will cause bubble defects in the injection molding blanks and affect the strength of the finished products. 1、 The injection pressure can be reduced, and the molding and pressure holding time can be reduced. MIM parts made of breathable steel have good air permeability. During mold filling, the resistance generated is small, so only a small injection pressure is required for smooth mold filling.

3、 It can reduce the clamping force of the injection molding machine and prolong the service life of the mold and related equipment accessories. The smaller the injection pressure is, the smaller the clamping force is required. The stress generated by the use of breathable steel mold during injection is small, so it is not easy to produce die expansion, which greatly extends the service life of the mold and parts.
