Among them, the hard sealed V-shaped ball valve has a strong shear force between its V-shaped core and the metal valve seat welded with hard alloy, which is particularly suitable for media containing fibers, small solid particles, and other materials.

 

Working principle of copper ball valve

Ball valves are mainly used to cut off or connect media in pipelines, and can also be used for fluid regulation and control. Among them, the hard sealed V-shaped ball valve has a strong shear force between its V-shaped core and the metal valve seat welded with hard alloy, which is particularly suitable for media containing fibers, small solid particles, and other materials. The multi ventilation ball valve can not only flexibly control the convergence, diversion, and flow direction switching of the medium on the pipeline, but also close any channel and connect the other two channels. This type of ball valve should generally be installed horizontally in pipelines.

 

Main characteristics of copper ball valves

Ball valves have a compact structure, reliable sealing, simple structure, and convenient maintenance. The sealing surface and spherical surface are often in a closed state, and are not easily eroded by media. They are easy to operate and maintain and are suitable for general working media such as water, solvents, acids, and natural gas. They are also suitable for harsh working conditions such as oxygen, hydrogen peroxide, methane, and ethylene, and are widely used in various industries. The valve body of a ball valve can be integral or modular.

 

Ball valve housing material and sealing

1. Metal ball valves: such as carbon steel ball valves, alloy steel ball valves, stainless steel ball valves, cast iron ball valves, titanium alloy ball valves, Monel ball valves, copper alloy ball valves, aluminum alloy ball valves, lead alloy ball valves, etc.

2. Metal valve body lined ball valve: such as rubber lined ball valve, fluorine lined ball valve, lead lined ball valve, plastic lined ball valve, and enamel lined ball valve.

3. Non metallic ball valves: such as ceramic ball valves, glass ball valves, and plastic ball valves.

 

Temperature and pressure limits for ball valves

The nameplate shows the allowable high operating pressure for the ball valve at both high and low operating temperatures.

The operating temperature of valve seats and seals made of PTFE or RTFE materials, as well as other types of valve seats and seals, should be subject to inspection by the KI factory.

The nominal pressure rating (PN) of a valve can indicate the high working pressure of the valve under normal temperature conditions. (For example, PN4.0 indicates a high working pressure of 40 Bar (4.0 MPa) when operating at temperatures ranging from -290C to 380C).

Ball valve operation and use

(1) Before operation, it is necessary to confirm that the pipelines and valves have been flushed.

(2) The operation of the valve drives the valve stem to rotate according to the input signal size of the actuator: when it rotates forward by 1/4 turn (90 °), the valve closes. When rotating in reverse by 1/4 turn (90 °), the valve opens.

(3) When the direction indicator arrow of the actuator is parallel to the pipeline, the ball valve is in the open state; When the arrow is perpendicular to the pipeline, the ball valve is in the closed state.
