● Five different forms, the role cannot be underestimated
The thrust rod is a component used to maintain the stability of the axle. It is mainly composed of connecting rods, straight ball seats, upper ball seats and other components. One end is connected to the axle, and the other end is connected to the frame. This component is matched with other components responsible for axle stability to ensure the longitudinal stability of the axle when the vehicle is driving or braking. However, some thrust rods can also ensure the lateral stability of the axle.

At present, the most widely used in China are V-shaped thrust rods and I-shaped thrust rods. In-line and parallel thrust rods are not common. Of course, we have to admire Waiguoren's imagination. They have developed two special thrust rods, one should be called a "thrust plate" and the other is an X-shaped thrust rod. Let me first introduce to you the working principle of the thrust rod.
● Small thrust rod is needed for axle stability

When the vehicle brakes, the universal joint end of the thrust rod (axle) decelerates or stops together with the wheels, but due to inertia, the vehicle frame still moves forward. Without the thrust rod, the axle would deflect longitudinally, but with the thrust rod, the axle is prevented from moving.
When the vehicle drives forward, the universal joint end of the drive wheel thrust rod, that is, the axle and the wheel, push the vehicle frame together. At this time, the thrust rod (and other components) transmits the thrust of the axle to the body, making the axle and The frame moves synchronously.

In addition, the V-shaped thrust rod and "thrust plate" also have a lateral stabilizing effect on the axle, preventing the axle from moving left and right. When the axle moves left and right, the V-shaped rod triangular stabilizing structure can prevent the axle from deflecting and ensure the ride comfort of the vehicle.
● Essential parts for heavy trucks, not available for light and medium trucks
The thrust rod is a necessary component for heavy trucks. Since light trucks and medium trucks carry lighter cargo, the leaf springs and drive shafts can reliably fix the rear axle. Therefore, light trucks and medium trucks currently do not have thrust rod components. .
Currently, V-shaped thrust rods and I-shaped thrust rods are most widely used in heavy trucks in China. There are two forms of V-shaped thrust rods. One is that one end of the thrust rod is connected transversely to the axle, which means that the three connecting ends of the thrust rod are all connected transversely, which represents the model of Jiefang J6P.
Another form of V-shaped thrust rod is connected to one end of the axle and vertically connected to the axle. The representative model is SINOTRUK Shandeka.
Different from the V-shaped thrust rod, the I-shaped thrust rod has only two connecting ends, one end is connected to the axle laterally, and the other end is fixed to the frame laterally. However, compared with the V-shaped thrust rod, it does not have the function of laterally stabilizing the axle. The representative model equipped with this kind of thrust rod is Dongfeng Tianlong.
