Lost-wax Casting Fixed Φ12-13 Wire Rope End Fitting Assembly Introduction

Lost-wax Casting Fixed Φ12-13 Wire Rope End Fitting Assembly Introduction

The cast fixed Φ12-13 wire rope end fitting assembly is a steel wire rope fixing and connecting device used in elevators, lifting machinery, and other fields. It mainly consists of a cast rope end cone sleeve, pull rod, nut, and cotter pin. This product is suitable for steel wire ropes with a diameter of Φ12mm to Φ13mm.

Product Overview

The cast fixed Φ12-13 wire rope end fitting assembly is a steel wire rope fixing and connecting device used in elevators, lifting machinery, and other fields. It mainly consists of a cast rope end cone sleeve, pull rod, nut, and cotter pin. This product is suitable for steel wire ropes with a diameter of Φ12mm to Φ13mm. By inserting one end of the steel wire rope into the cone sleeve and using Babbitt metal casting or other fastening methods, a firm connection is formed between the steel wire rope and the cone sleeve, achieving rigid fixation between the steel wire rope and the equipment. It is widely used in elevator traction systems, hoists, and other applications requiring stable transmission of traction force.

Structural Composition And Features

Cast Rope End Cone Sleeve

Made of high-quality cast iron or cast steel through precision casting process, the inner hole of the cone sleeve is designed with a conical structure, providing a large contact area with the steel wire rope, which can evenly distribute stress and prevent excessive local stress on the steel wire rope. The surface of the cone sleeve is smooth, without burrs or cracks, ensuring that the steel wire rope is not damaged during insertion, and also has good wear resistance and corrosion resistance.

Pull Rod Assembly

Includes a pull rod, adjusting nut, and connecting pin. The pull rod is made of high-strength alloy steel and has sufficient tensile strength and rigidity. The adjusting nut cooperates with the pull rod thread, allowing adjustment of the length of the rope end assembly by rotating the nut to adapt to different installation conditions. The connecting pin is used to connect with the fixed lug plate of the equipment, ensuring the stability and reliability of the connection.

Fixing Method

The fixing method uses a cone sleeve integrated with the steel wire rope through a casting process, which has higher connection strength and stability compared to other connection methods. During installation, one end of the steel wire rope is inserted into the cone sleeve to the specified length, and then Babbitt metal is poured. After the Babbitt metal cools and solidifies, the steel wire rope and the cone sleeve form a whole, which can withstand large tensile forces and is not easy to loosen during long-term use.

Scope of Application

This rope end assembly is suitable for elevator systems with large rated load capacity and high operating speed, as well as various lifting machinery, construction machinery, and other applications requiring fixed steel wire ropes. This product is particularly suitable for applications requiring high strength and strict safety requirements for wire rope connections, such as elevators in high-rise buildings, freight elevators, and port lifting equipment.

Technical Parameters

1. Applicable wire rope diameter: Φ12mm-Φ13mm

2. Rated breaking tensile force: Depending on the material and structural design, generally not less than 90% of the minimum breaking tensile force of the wire rope.

3. Cone sleeve material: HT300 gray cast iron or ZG270-500 cast steel

4. Tie rod material: 45# steel or 20CrMnTi alloy steel

5. Thread specifications: Determined according to the tie rod diameter, commonly M20-M24

6. Working temperature range: -20℃ to +80℃

Installation and Maintenance

Installation steps

● First, check that all components of the rope end assembly are intact and free from cracks, deformation, or other defects.
● Cut the wire rope to the specified length, and securely tie the rope end with wire to prevent fraying.
● Insert the wire rope into the cone sleeve, ensuring that the length of the wire rope inside the cone sleeve meets the requirements, generally about 2/3 of the cone sleeve length.
● Clean the inner hole of the cone sleeve and the surface of the wire rope of oil and impurities, then pour in heated molten Babbitt metal until the Babbitt metal fills the gap between the cone sleeve and the wire rope.
● After the Babbitt metal cools and solidifies, connect the cone sleeve to the tie rod assembly, adjust the length of the rope end assembly by adjusting the nut to tension the wire rope, and finally fix the adjusting nut with a cotter pin to prevent loosening.

Maintenance

● Regularly check the connection of all components of the rope end assembly, and check whether the adjusting nut is loose and whether the cotter pin is intact.
● Check whether there is Babbitt metal leakage or loosening at the connection between the cone sleeve and the wire rope. If there is any abnormality, it should be dealt with promptly.
● Regularly apply grease to the threaded parts of the tie rod and nut to prevent rust and jamming.
● During use, if any broken wires or wear are found in the wire rope, the wire rope and rope end assembly should be replaced promptly.

Safety Precautions

1. Before installation, ensure that the specifications and model of the rope end assembly match the diameter of the steel wire rope. Using components that are oversized or undersized is strictly prohibited.

2. When pouring Babbitt metal, strictly control the heating temperature and pouring process to ensure a tight bond between the Babbitt metal, the steel wire rope, and the tapered sleeve.

3. During installation, strictly follow the operating procedures; unauthorized operations are strictly prohibited to prevent accidents.

4. If any abnormal sounds or vibrations are detected in the rope end assembly during equipment operation, immediately stop the machine and inspect it. Only resume operation after the fault has been resolved.

5. Regularly perform safety performance tests on the rope end assembly, such as tensile strength tests, to ensure its safe and reliable operation.
