Causes of carburization defects
a. In the casting process, the amount of gas generated by the decomposition of the lost mold is too much and urgent, the casting exhaust speed can not catch up with, and the vacuum pump is insufficient, which is easy to lead to the collapse and collapse of the cast;
b. The "flash flow" of metal liquid is one of the causes of the collapse defect. The so-called "flash flow" of metal liquid is that in the pouring, part of the metal liquid that has flowed into the position of filling the lost mold pattern is changed to other parts under the external action, so that the original replaced position is not occupied by metal liquid or metal filling. This kind of problem mostly occurs in the top casting, the casting has a large plane, one type and many shapes;
c. If the buoyancy of the metal liquid is too large, it will make the upper part of the mold sand easy to deform, which may lead to local collapse; Under normal circumstances, the sand intake at the top of the mold is small, and the negative pressure is not enough, which may cause the casting to be poorly formed or even unable to be formed;
d. The refractoriness and high temperature strength of the paint are not enough, and it is very easy to produce the collapse defect of the lost mold casting. The lost mold has the function of buffering the metal filling and cooling during the casting process, and can weaken the metal washing mold. When the liquid metal replaces the mold pattern and fills the cavity, the dry sand mainly relies on the support of the paint coating. When the coating strength is not enough or the refractoriness is not enough, the local mold will collapse and collapse, especially the collapse above the runner in the large part is very easy to occur.
