The gear of the water meter has the function of receiving the force of the impeller rotation and transmitting the force to the next component. There is a strong linkage between multiple components, so the gear must ensure high strength.

The gears of the water meter are made of materials with super hardness, anti-rust, and not easy to lose teeth. The 1-3 gears are made of stainless rigid shafts, and the rest of the gear shafts and gears can be made of moisture-resistant engineering plastics.
Water meter structure - the role of each component
1. Watch case, middle cover, watch glass
The watch case, the middle cover, the watch glass and the sealing gasket together form a sealing body, so that the measured water in the watch case will not leak out of the watch. According to the national standard, the water meter should be able to withstand the pressure test of 1.6MPa for 15min and 2.0MPa for 1min. Therefore, the watch case, middle cover and watch glass should meet the above requirements.
The case material is generally gray cast iron (HT l50, see GB 9436-1988) or cast lead brass (ZcuZn40Pb2, see GB ll76-1987). The material of the middle cover is generally cast lead brass (ZcuZn40Pb2, see GB 1176-1987). The watch glass shall be tempered glass conforming to JB/T 8480-1996.
2. Measuring institutions
The metering mechanism is mainly composed of a gear box, an impeller box, an integral impeller, a top blade, and an adjusting plate. The metering mechanism is the "heart" of the water meter, which plays a key role in the metering performance and durability of the water meter.
3. Counting mechanism
The counting mechanism is often called a counter, and the common forms are pointer type, word wheel type and combination of pointer word wheel type.
