Heat treatment

40CrNi belongs to hypoeutectoid steel, which is completely austenitized after heating at 860°C. When it is cooled by normalizing, proeutectoid ferrite is precipitated, and then austenite transforms into pearlite-like structure (lamellar). Due to the fast cooling rate and the small spacing of pearlite sheets, it is easy to obtain sorbite or troostite structures (both of which belong to pearlite in a broad sense). 4. Affect the performance of the product: During the operation of the machine, under the action of friction, the burrs are easy to fall off, aggravating wear and causing early failure of parts. In the hydraulic system, the shed burr enters the circuit of the hydraulic system together with the hydraulic oil, which affects the normal operation of the hydraulic system, and crawling and shaking occur.

5. Affect the positioning performance of the product: powder metallurgy mostly adopts longitudinal pressing, and the side forming ability of the product is poor. For parts with holes on the side, machining is often required. The existence of burrs will inevitably lead to positioning errors, which will affect the machining accuracy of the hole. For parts with high precision requirements, burrs must be removed before machining. In addition, burrs also affect the detection accuracy of parts.
