First of all, resin sand is a mixture of resin, sand and curing agent, and clay sand is mainly a mixture of bentonite, water and sand; Performance and service conditions - the cost of resin sand is much higher than that of clay sand, and the strength of resin sand is higher than that of clay sand, especially at high temperature; In terms of collapsibility, I think clay sand is better, but it does not mean that resin sand is much worse. Recyclability: both can be recycled! But in terms of technology, resin sand is better than clay sand, such as curing time, surface smoothness of materials, etc!

1. The resin sand mold has good rigidity and high sand mold strength at the initial stage of casting, which makes it possible to use the graphitization expansion in the solidification process of cast iron to effectively eliminate the shrinkage cavity and porosity defects, and realize the casting of gray iron and nodular iron with less risers and no risers.
2. In the production of full mold casting, polystyrene foam pattern is used, and furan resin self hardening sand is used for molding. When the metal liquid is poured into the mold, the foam pattern is rapidly vaporized under the action of the high-temperature metal liquid, burned and disappeared. The metal liquid replaces the position occupied by the original foam plastic, and solidifies into a full mold casting with the same shape as the pattern.
3. Relatively speaking, EPC has great advantages over traditional sand molds for producing single or small batch automobile cover parts, machine bed and other large molds. It not only saves expensive wood mold costs, but also is easy to operate, shortens production cycle, improves production efficiency, and has advantages such as high dimensional accuracy, small machining allowance and good surface quality.
