1. The brush box for riveting the brush holder. The materials used to manufacture this brush box are generally brass, bronze, or aluminum alloy plates, as well as galvanized or chrome plated steel plates. This type of brush box with sheet riveting system is suitable for mass production and is commonly used for small motors.
The process of riveting brush holders includes: (1) flushing of brush box parts; (2) Curved shape; (3) Drilling and tapping; (4) Electroplating (5) Riveting brush box (6) Brush hole shaping with a shaping plug (7) Riveting pressure finger (8) Install spring cap, spring and tip (9) Check that the installed brush box, brush, and pressure finger are not stuck.
2. The brush box for casting the brush holder. Generally cast with brass or bronze, with good rigidity, but high precision requirements for the inner hole. Special pullers and clamps are required during processing, resulting in high manufacturing costs. Aluminum alloy brush boxes can also be made by pressure casting, with high production efficiency. The brush boxes produced by die casting have reached sufficient accuracy, without the need for further processing, and the material loss is also minimal. But expensive die-casting equipment and molds are required, and should not be used when the production batch is not large.
The process of brass casting brush holder is as follows: (1) Clean the casting, (2) Mill the bottom surface (reference plane), (3) Use a special pulling tool and clamp to pull the electric brush hole. The brush hole must be tightly clamped around to prevent deformation, and a mesh groove is opened on the contact surface between the fixture and the brush box to ensure good contact between the fixture and the brush box. First rough drawing, then fine drawing, this can make the deformation of the brush hole very small (4) milling the tooth plane (5) removing burrs and chamfers, extreme negative correction of the electric brush hole shape (6) drilling and tapping, and the assembly of other retail parts is the same as riveting the brush holder.
