It can be seen that the function of the hook is very critical, and users have high requirements for its quality. Look at the quality of the hook, mainly to examine the appearance and performance. In terms of appearance, you can intuitively see the gloss and roughness of the surface of the hook, and check whether there are traces or rust on the surface; in terms of performance, the inspection points of sewing performance focus on whether the thread is broken, whether the thread is taken up well, whether the thread is floating, or not. Whether the wire is stuck, whether the stitch is skipped, whether the cloth is wrinkled, etc., then listen to the noise and look at the durability. Here we briefly introduce the structure and function of each part of the rotary hook. The following figure shows the structural anatomy of the hook and gives the names of the various parts.
1. Wire guide (large shuttle skin). It is a piece of spring steel that fastens the outside of the bobbin case with screws. It is used to restrain the needle thread loop caught by the hook tip from slipping out at the hook root B. Its curved edges help tighten the bottom thread in the stitch.
2. Bobbin case. Fasten it on the lower shaft with screws, and run at a high speed along the annular guide rail C (guide tooth) on the shuttle frame at a speed of 2nr/min (n is the speed of the embroidery machine). Thread the needle thread loop of the needle hole attachment with the hook tip A on it. The grooves (guide grooves) D on the inner wall of the bobbin case are matched with the raised guide teeth C on the bobbin frame.
3. Off-line hook. Attached to the bobbin case with screws, it is a half-moon-shaped guide. The first function is to press the annular guide rail C to make it fit with the groove D to prevent the shuttle frame from falling off the bobbin case; The thread loop that comes out from the needle tip acts as a guide for the thread loop when the thread take-up lever takes up the thread. The spindle F at the bottom center of the bobbin holder is used to support the bobbin case and the bobbin.
4. Bobbin. The looper is placed on the hollow shaft of the bobbin case and is a thread holder on which the bobbin thread (bottom thread) is wound. In embroidery, when the bobbin thread is twitched, it rotates freely around the bobbin shaft to supply the bobbin thread.
5. Shuttle frame positioning hook. One end is fixed on the bottom of the computer embroidery machine shell, and one end flange is embedded in the positioning groove E of the shuttle frame to prevent the shuttle frame from rotating and make it fixed in the correct position. In fact, according to the difference of the off-line hook (3 in the figure), the commonly used rotary hooks can be roughly divided into three types: A type, B type and BOH type. The picture above shows the B-type hook, while the A-type hook is usually used on embroidery machines.
6. Bobbin cover. Holds and supports the bobbin. There is a hollow shaft in the center, which is sleeved on the spindle F of the shuttle frame, and is fixed on the shuttle frame by the shuttle door 9, and does not rotate with the bobbin case during operation. The outer surface of the bobbin case is equipped with a rubber band 8 to adjust the tension of the bobbin thread.
Type B is universal for thin and thick materials. Because the lunar ring depressor has a long head, the off-thread time is kept longer, which reduces the loose thread and can prevent the floating thread. It is a commonly used model in sewing. BOH type is suitable for medium and heavy materials. The tongue depressing length of the lunar ring is shorter than that of type B, and it is between type A and type B. This type of hook can prevent floating thread, whether using thick thread or thread with low twist.
Type A is suitable for heavy materials, computerized embroidery machines, and zigzag sewing. The thread is taken off faster than other models, but the tension is low and floating thread is prone to occur.
