Tungsten Steel Water Jet Sand Tube PM Sintered Parts
Tungsten steel is a sintered composite material with refractory metal tungsten carbide as the hard phase and metals such as cobalt, nickel, or iron as the binder phase. The grain size of tungsten carbide is generally between 0.2-10um, and the bonding between grains is mainly due to the cohesiveness of the binder. The hard phase mainly provides hardness and wear resistance for the product, while the binder phase mainly provides toughness for the product.

As a kind of cemented carbide, tungsten steel is widely used in our daily life because of its good thermal, mechanical, and chemical properties, such as making jewelry or high-heeled shoes.
Nature
Tungsten steel has the characteristics of high density (11.0-15.0g/cm3), high strength, high hardness (69-81HRC), good red hardness, no rust, good wear resistance, corrosion resistance, and heat resistance. Note: The density, strength, hardness, and other physical and chemical properties of tungsten steel materials for different purposes are not the same.
Production
Due to the large difference between the melting points of the hard phase and the binder phase, powder metallurgy is generally used to prepare tungsten steel. Powder metallurgy is a process technology that uses metal powder as raw material, forming and sintering to manufacture composite materials. The basic process includes the preparation of raw material powder, powder forming into compact, sintering of compact, and post-processing of the product.
Among them, the sintering process of tungsten steel can be divided into four stages: removal of forming agent and pre-sintering stage, solid phase sintering stage, liquid phase sintering stage, and cooling stage. Note: The molding agent must be removed as much as possible, otherwise it will affect the product quality.
Application
1) Make jewelry such as rings, pendants, bracelets, bracelets, earrings, watch chains, etc., with the advantages of no wear, no deformation, no discoloration, and no allergies.
2) Make molds such as progressive dies, drawing dies, drawing dies, wire drawing dies, hot extrusion dies, cold stamping dies, forming blanking dies, cold heading dies, etc.
3) For mining products such as digging teeth, gun bits, drill bits, drill bits, roller cone bits, coal cutter picks, hollow drill bits, etc.
4) Wear-resistant and heat-resistant parts such as sealing rings, tungsten steel plunger materials, guide rail materials, nozzles, knives, grinding machine mandrel materials, etc.
